me in honey

i guess it finally happened. i've been listening to alot of r.e.m. lately, hold the laughter. it's been a little painful because of my long time ignorance. though i don't care much for mr. stipe, i'm still coming around, starting with "out of time" and "monster", thank you wife. any other suggestions (this is where josh talbot names off like 30 albums, because i must say, i hear tons of talbots influence with them), or questions? comments?

i remember a conversation at teddy bear where i mentioned REM and your exact, sarcastic reply was, "did he just say REM?" with much chuckling from the other at the table (whom i will not name). this is a "i told you so" that comes with much satisfaction. ahhhhh...

now with that out of the way:
1. Document is a great album.
2. Green was the beginning of some very good pop.
3. our band did Driver 8 in the school talent show so at least listen to that track off Eponymous
4. a friend of mine was quoted in saying that Automatic was "some real kick ass folk music"
5. Monster = Good Rock.
after this i lost touch with the this Athens love with much blame from something i will refer to only as mxpx (see matt, i'm no better)

* All their older stuff (murmur, pageant, fables) is worth letting "sink in"

enjoy

I would usually be mad in these sitituations, but to be honest I don't care anymore. By the way I've been listening to the new Bjork album.
